Thailand Temple Bits
Thailand has over 40,000 active temples — wats that range from the grand and gilded to the quiet and moss-covered. This is not a comprehensive survey but a collection of fragments: light coming in through a window to create a mood, the areas within and around a temple that document the working nature of an active temple, the bits and bobs lying around when a temple is being constructed or renovated…. All these things together slowly accumulate into something like understanding when you spend enough time in a place.
